Get to know Nesar

Our colleague Nesar Ishaqzada has been working as a machine and plant operator (stranding machine operator) at our site in Berlin-Köpenick for one and a half years. He enjoys his work every day and is very hard-working, and it was only by chance that Nesar and the cable factory came together. "I was walking down the street and discovered Kabelwerk Köpenick by chance, saw people at work and signed the employment contract a week later. When I saw my supervisor for the first time, I felt very comfortable and immediately sensed the positive atmosphere at the site." Nesar had various jobs in the past, including a stint as a waiter and even as a fitness coach, before finding his new calling.

The varied work and the production of different cable types on different machines never gets boring. "I work eight hours in a three-shift system. I start by planning my day and focussing on what work needs to be done in the coming hours. I try to avoid mistakes in order to guarantee the quality of the cables."

He carries out his work very reliably and calmly and enjoys learning from his colleagues in order to constantly improve. "The opportunity to gain professional experience and develop within the company is something I really like about Prysmian."

Nesar becomes an almost different person when he pursues his hobby of martial arts. He then becomes a professional Muay Thai boxer who trains a lot and loves to fight. It's a good thing he only does this in his spare time! His colleagues describe him as a respectful judge of character for whom good communication in his working environment is very important. "That's the only way to do good quality work," says Nesar.
