Protecting our people in the workplace

For Prysmian, protecting the health, safety and wellbeing of our people is our number one priority. The main risks are connected with activities carried out at production sites, on ships and at worksites, requiring constant and comprehensive management.

The Group uses a centralized system to identify, assess and manage risks at Group, regional and business unit level, with the aim of preventing injuries, minimizing impacts and promoting a widespread, responsible safety culture.

Zero & Beyond

The Zero & Beyond philosophy is the basis of Prysmian’s commitment:

Zero fatalities, injuries and occupational diseases;
Beyond, ensuring safety not just in the workplace, but at home and in the communities in which the Group operates.

Everyone is expected to lead the way in promoting safety, complying with the Golden Rules, reporting any unsafe situations and helping to deliver continuous improvement.

In 2025, the Zero & Beyond philosophy was further promoted worldwide via a specific communication campaign during Safety Month and is an integral part of the Safety Strategy 2025–2030, validated last year with clear, measurable five-year targets.

For a safe visit at our plants please review the following requirements

Smoking is only permitted outside the buildings at dedicated areas.
Unauthorized access is prohibited.
Photography is only allowed with prior permission.
Use of mobile phones is not permitted.
Eating & drinking is not permitted.
Speed limits must be observed.

Eye protection must be worn in specially marked areas.
Hearing protection must be worn in marked areas.
Handrails must always be used.
Safety shoes & safety vests must be worn.
Pedestrians must use the marked paths (applies to all entrances and exits).
Special caution is required regarding internal forklift traffic.
